Young Britons are attracted to IS because they dream of a twisted glory

THE number of young Muslims trying to join Islamic State is “on a larger scale than we envisaged”, says Keith Vaz, chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee.

The number of young Muslims being radicalised is on the rise

The number of young British Muslims being radicalised by IS is on the rise
This breathtakingly bland politician-speak is a contender for understatement of the year.If ministers and the security services have underestimated the number of young Muslim men and women signing up for jihad it’s because they don’t want to face the truth.

When the metropolitan elite are outraged at Nigel Farage saying there are people living here who want to kill us it’s because he’s stating a fact they would prefer to deny.

‘You and I see IS as murderers and wanton destroyers but many young Muslims regard them as crusaders’

As three youths on their way to Syria are sent back by the Turkish authorities I don’t think the British public will be at all surprised or shocked that estimates of the numbers who have made it there to become holy warriors have increased. You and I see IS as murderers and wanton destroyers but many young Muslims regard them as crusaders.

They dream of a twisted glory in the same way as young Irish men and women who were drawn to the IRA.

All the crackdowns on travel and hate preachers will not stop Muslims thinking what they choose. Quite the reverse.

And there are bound to be more terror attacks in Britain in which innocent people will pay the price of politicians’ denial and stupidity.
