A man has been cleared of racially abusing Welsh club doormen by swearing at them and calling them “Taffs”.

James Davis, 24, from Blakeney in the Forest of Dean, was alleged to have abused the bouncers in Lydney.

The incident happened after he was thrown out of a nightclub in the Gloucestershire town in January.

But Mr Davis was found not guilty of a charge of racially aggravated harassment at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court.
