East Belfast racist attacks: Three men released

Racist graffiti appeared on gable walls in east Belfast on Monday night
Police said they believe the attacks were linked and are treating them as racially-motivated hate crimes

Three men who were questioned over a series of racist attacks in east Belfast have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Two homes were attacked in Bloomfield Avenue and Chobham Street on Monday night and two cars were damaged in Rosebery Street and Ravenscroft Street.

Racist graffiti also was daubed on gable walls in nearby streets.

Two men, aged 22, and another man, aged 20, were arrested and questioned about the incidents on Wednesday evening.

Officers have said they believe the attacks were orchestrated and are treating them all as racially-motivated hate crimes
