Man, 25, abused in suspected racist incident in Lowestoft

A man was verbally abused in a suspected racist incident in Lowestoft, police have said.
It happened at approximately 3.40am today in London Street North.

A 25-year-old man was walking home along the road when he saw three men walking towards him down Stanley Street, near to the Katwijck Way junction.

Believing the three men were acting suspiciously the man stopped and asked the men what they were doing at which point he was verbally racially abused by one of the men.

All three men then walked into Bevan Street West where two of the men collected bicycles and rode off.

The man was left shaken by his ordeal and police are keen to hear from anyone who either witnessed the incident or recognises the men from the description.
The first is described as white, 18-19 years old, of skinny build with short brown hair, he was wearing a blue hooded top with grey tracksuit bottoms, and he rode off on a silver mountain bike.

The second man is described as white, skinny, 6ft 1ins tall.

He was wearing a white long sleeved top and grey tracksuit bottoms and rode off on a mountain bike.

The third man was black and walked off.
